Growing up I definitely remember times when my parents would cook one dinner for themselves and a second dinner for myself and my brother. It could be that I refused to eat onions and my dad wouldn't not refrain from adding onions to the risotto, or perhaps it was the seven year expanse when I decided to become a vegetarian -- and they said it was just a phase.
