We've occasionally flirted with our unbridled love of all things sweet in the (web)pages of Good Bite: a cookie recipe here, a berry cobbler there. But, we are yet to unleash the cake pan-wielding, sugar craving, oven obsessed Mr. Hyde that lurks just beneath the surface of our sensible, vegetarian lasagna-suggesting demeanor. Well, that all changes this week.

Not only do we launch our series on Birthday Cakes to Die For tomorrow (check out this leak of David Lebovitz's three-tiered Coconut Cake), but we're also going live with a slew of chocolate chip recipes suggested by you, the readers.

Heck, we think we'll just keep this dessert thing going the rest of the week (once we're on good sugar high, it's hard to stop).
