Being that January is Good Bite's healthy, meat-free month, today we focus on a great uber healthy vitamin supplement, the perfect addition to that AM shake. After five years of research, Vitaforce was conceived by brothers Scott and Josh Malin with the intent to create a truly wholesome nutritional supplement. After thirteen years of prior research, which including sampling many "top of the line" supplements, the duo were disappointed to discover that none of these supplements lived up to their scientific claims. And, many of the supplements were, in fact, synthesized in laboratories as opposed to being made from real food. Anyway, this is how Vitaforce was born, and as one would expect, it's made from real food. Think tons of super foods like organic spirulina, collard greens, parsley, spinach, kelp; red algae; yeast; probiotics; and super fruit berries like acerola cherry, acai, and wild billberry just to name a few. Regardless, I've never been a huge shake or supplement fan just because I never feel like any of them actually have any effect on me. Not to sound like a cheesy tv ad, but Vitaforce actually did make me feel as though I had extra energy and if you're interested in giving the powder a shot I would recommend using this shake recipe: 1 scoop Vitaforce 1 scoop flax seeds 1 cup black raspberry juice 1 banana 1/4 cup fresh spinach leaves 1/4 cup raspberries Blend and enjoy.
