Every cook needs a few easy recipes that they can whip up in a flash, no recipe required. Even if you don’t find yourself with unexpected company, there are times when you just want a quick dessert with minimal effort. And I always appreciate being able to make something simple if I’ve put special effort into dinner. Enter my Nutella Mousse!
I adore this recipe for both its simplicity and its ability to be transformed into something I’d serve at a dinner party with just a few minor tweaks. It takes minimal time to make, tastes amazing and has only two ingredients!
I make two versions of this mousse: one is just the mousse itself, which easily stands alone as a respectable dessert. The other is a more upscale version, where I layer the mouse in pretty glasses with fresh raspberries, then top it with freshly whipped cream and chocolate shavings (and maybe a few more raspberries). The result is stunning without much effort – definitely my kind of “recipeâ€!
To make the mousse, just put half a cup of Nutella with a cup of whipping cream in a mixing bowl, then whip to stiff peaks. Tuck it away in your refrigerator for a few hours then enjoy! It’s so easy and delicious, I’m certain it will become one of your easy go-to desserts!
