Bittersweet One-Pot Brownies
The brownies we made together were so easy, why would anyone use a mix? I developed this recipe using half a bar of a dark chocolate from Trader Joe’s, but it’s amazing when made with a 9.7-ounce bar of Scharffen Berger Semi-sweet or Bittersweet. I've given this recipe (which I've memorized) to many parents.

July 4th Favorites
Watch: Let's face it, although everyone of us likes to claim that we anticipate the 4th because of the fun, fireworks and friends, we all know it's about the food. Juicy burgers, crunchy corn and cherry pie, these are the things that really pop into our minds when we think about Independence Day. Good Bite bloggers walk you through the essentials for the summer holiday. Todd and Diane's spicy burgers are perfectly offset by David's easy, sweet cobbler. Jeanne's tips should help cut your prep time in half.

Jeanne's Green Beans, Corn and Cherry Tomato Salad
This simple, fresh salad showcases summer produce. It transports well and is delicious with most picnic and barbecue fare. With the addition of 3 to 4 ounces crumbled soft, fresh goat cheese- it makes a great vegetarian entrée or accompaniment to grilled chicken.
