Sparkling Basil Honey Julep
· 2 ounces bourbon, such as Maker’s Mark
· 2 tsp honey
· 2 ounces seltzer water
· 3-4 basil leaves
· Ice
Take 3-4 basil leaves and shred by hand, tearing each leaf into 2-3 pieces. Pour bourbon into the glass followed by honey. Stir vigorously until the honey is well mixed. Fill the glass with ice cubes and top with seltzer. Stir to mix, and garnish with a few more basil leaves.
