Chocolate Chip Cookies are some of the most beloved cookies out there, and Gaby Dalkin of goodbite.com has a super easy recipe that will give you fluffy, gooey cookies every time.
Chocolate Chip Cookies
12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
3 cups of flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
1 1/4 cups butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, room temperature
2 teaspoons vanilla
Using an electric mixer, cream together butter (brown and white) sugar and butter. Add eggs, 1 at a time and mix, scraping down the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula. As you add the rest of the ingredients, continue beating at low speed until just fully incorporated. Add vanilla, flour, baking soda, and salt. Scrape down sides of bowl. Mix in chocolate chips at the end.
Transfer dough to refrigerator to firm for at least 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Adjust rack to the upper third of the oven. Line a baking sheet with parchment and spoon rounded tablespoons of dough onto sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until cookies are browned along the edges but pale in the middle.
